Margot Fedoruk is a Gabriola Island author and the award-winning writer of Cooking Tips for Desperate Fishwives: An Island Memoir (Heritage House, 2022), which won silver in Taste Canada’s 2023 Culinary Narrative category. She is currently partway through her MLIS, reads too much, and dreams of writing the next great Canadian novel...or perhaps a graphic memoir. Failing that, she is also happy imagining her memoir adapted into a movie, preferably starring handsome actors who are tastefully scruffed up for the roles.
