Heart Roots Music from Byron Bay Australia

MAPSTONE have quickly emerged onto the roots music scenes in Australia, Canada and Bali. Together for just 18 months they have already shared the stage with Nahko and medicine for the people, Dustin Thomas, the Beautiful Girls, Murray Kyle and old friends’ Buckman Coe and more. Mapstone have been moving the dance floor and delighting ears wherever they go, including prestigious festivals such as Woodford folk festival, Bali and Byron spirit festival's and Island Vibe festival. Their blend of conscious roots, world, reggae, and folk music is of the heart, for the heart and from the heart.
As a world traveler ’s Mapstone’s songs have been influenced by rich cultural and musical experiences. Their lyrics reflect their passion and understanding for equality, freedom of speech, self reflection, relationships, the environment, and an awakening of the human race into a peaceful and vibrant community.

The band really see themselves as a “Music of the world Band” We know that they have a place in the music scene here in Australia, in Canada, Bali and beyond. They have played some of Australia's and Canada's top Festivals, and venues, including Falls Festival, Blessed Coast, Island Elements and The Stockey Centre. As eclectic artists, They have already created a fan base and a public for their music, and live shows. Influenced by Reggae, Folk, Rock and world music they have created their own unique style, often referred to as "Heart Roots" music. During their shows they play instruments such as Didgeridoo, Djembe, ukulele, guitar, harmonica, drum kit, bass, cajon, conga’s and more… "We love to play music to inspire, uplift and elevate the crowds we play to. Our music is good for the soul, good for the mind and good for the spirit"…Three values that Mapstone embody deeply! They play music to connect with people, to share their love for music, for all beings and for the planet. "We love to make people laugh, smile, sing, dance and feel good about being alive! We absolutely wish to give them the greatest experience, and happiest moment possible at the present time, with their friends, alone, or with all the people in the crowd listening to Mapstone’s music."

“Mapstone’s conscious root’s music is infectious to the soul, uplifting and leaves you calling for more. Full of joy, depth, inspiration and spirit, this is a band on a mission with enough heart to see it through. Do yourself a favour and experience this musical medicine.”
