Tue, Dec 1st, 7-9pm, Concert – the LION the BEAR the FOX - Roots/Rock/Canadiana
2013 Top 20 Peak Performance Finalists are 3 young men (w/Christopher Arruda & Cory Woodward & Ryan McMahon) singing honest roots/rock/Canadiana songs with sincerity reminiscent of Crosby, Stills, Nash, Ray LaMontagne & Neil Young.  Stripping their music down and focusing on three voices uniting in harmony, they have succeeded in creating gripping, dynamic songs while capturing a sincerity rarely heard this side of the 2000′s.  With over three decades combined experience, these 2013 Peak Performance Project Finalists are currently immersed in production for their debut EP 'We'd Be Good Men', to be released October 1st of this year. 2013 will be the year the lion the bear the fox bring their heartfelt songs and larger than life sound to the rugged Canadian terrain that continues to inspire them.

LBF PRESS RELEASE:  DEC. 1 2015:

Whether playing the Alberni Valley as 3 individual musicians, or as a trio, Christopher Arruda, Cory Woodward, & Ryan McMahon all agree that Char's Landing has been a very special place to perform since their inception as 'The Lion the Bear the Fox" 3 years ago.

"We've had some incredible shows throughout the country over the past couple of years, but the last time we played Char's as a band, we walked upstairs from her green room, and when we entered the old church to begin playing, everybody started cheering like Elton John had just walked in.  We were all like: "Are you sure we're the right guys?  Port Alberni is incredible to us, and whether it's the full band or just one of us up there, Char's sounds good and feels good every time,"  says Ryan McMahon - aka the Fox.

The Lion the Bear the Fox began as solo artists on tour with one another, but upon completion of that initial tour, all three agreed that the music they made together was worth pursuing.  Fast forward 3 years later, and LBF has secured a Publishing contract with CCS Right Management out of Toronto, seen their music licensed both Nationally & abroad, and they've had the opportunity to play some of the best rooms Canada has to offer.  Their harmony-based sound has resonated with some of the country's long-time tastemakers, including 'Tasting Room Radio's' Terry David Mulligan, who says: One of the joys of a life in radio and music is hearing new artists for the first time and knowing they’ll be around perhaps for a lifetime.  And so…. I say with respect, If you get a chance..check out The Lion, The Bear and The Fox.  A lot of talent on one stage"

On Dec. 1st, LBF plays their final show of 2015, before heading into the recording studio in late January to finish their follow up to the EP "We'd Be Good Men."

Doors open at 6pm Dec. 1st / Show starts at 7pm
Tickets are $15 advance (available @ Char's Landing) / $20 at the door
