Introduction to Lighting – Training Session

Following our first technical training session focused on audio, we’re excited to introduce our first lighting-focused training of the season.

This Introduction to Lighting session is led by Andrew Taylor, Technical Operations Director at Five Acre Co. The training is designed to be practical, approachable, and grounded in real-world experience; no prior lighting experience is required.

Whether you’re an artist, technician, volunteer, or simply curious about live production, this session will walk you through foundational lighting concepts and setups you can actually use.

You’ll learn about:
• Lighting basics
• DMX fundamentals
• Common lighting setups

Cost:
This session is open to the public and offered on a sliding scale from $25–$60 to help keep training accessible.
