event fully moderated encouraging unbiassed time

Char’s Bar will be open as usual, plus pitchers of water, accompanied minors welcome, please no outside beverages.

Format:
4-5pm mix and mingle,

candidates and guests invited to write questions (as many as they want) on paper slips provided by Char, to put into the bucket for random draw. These will be completely unedited.

candidates invited to hand out flyers, put up banners, socialize, introduce themselves to the room, one on one.
5-7pm question and answer period

We have assigned a Moderator to keep everyone on track in a respectful way, however, the intention is that this Q&A will be independent, unbiased and therefore, self monitoring.

Candidates sit at the head table in number order, 1 through 6, as designated through a random draw.

TOP Candidate #1 will start, take the microphone, announce their name, run through STEP1, STEP2, STEP3 in a total of 5 minutes, as shown on the timer clock displayed on the big screen TV. When 5 minutes have passed, Candidate #1 passes the microphone to Candidate #2, followed by Candidate #3, followed by Candidate #4, followed by Candidate #5, followed by Candidate #6.

Option # 1 answer the question, continue to STEP3.

Option # 2 return the question to the bucket, continue to STEP2

STEP2 Draw a question from the bucket and read it out loud

STEP3 fill the rest of the 5 minutes with any other details of their platform they would like to relay, then pass the microphone to the next Candidate and back to the TOP.

It should take 30 minutes maximum to get through each round of questions.
7-8pm mix and mingle

{-----} Candidates who indicated conflicting obligations that Friday evening, including the Burde Pond Town Hall at the Athletic Hall at 7pm, are invited to maximize the mix & mingle and 1 or 2 rounds of questions. No judgement.
