Skysong Community Choir belongs to the Ubuntu Network of Community Choirs. It had it's birth in Vancouver in 2019 after Kim completed the Community Choirs Leadership Training (CCLT) program in Victoria. Within months, the pandemic shut down in person gatherings but the choir continued online with good success until Kim changed towns and moved to Port alberni in 2022. Since coming here, Kim has heard enough interest in this kind of community singing to move forward with some first steps!
Ubuntu choirs are non-audition, inclusive, community focussed and socially engaged.
Come join us to sing in community; songs of peace and social justice, secular and sacred songs from around the world, current and traditional folk musics, and more.
