Everyone is invited to a public discussion on jobs and affordability — the city's economic future — on March 20, which happens to be the spring equinox. This is the third in a series of events, Port Alberni 2024-2044, coinciding with the city's official community plan review. Next up: A workshop on sustainable living (April 17); a panel discussion on transportation (May 15); and a presentation on naturalization of the Somass Lands (June 19).
