Pony Gold is an alternative folk/country group with a heavy emphasis on vocals and slide guitar. Their songs showcase themes of escapism, purpose, love and loss that give voice to the parts of the human experience we all feel but can’t describe. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tedeschi Trucks Band and Lucinda Williams, the group introduces a fresh approach to Canadiana music by weaving in the classic sounds of country, blues, and soul, with new wave indie folk and rock influences. 
 
Pony Gold’s performances resound for their intimacy and wild abandon. Dynamic and endearing, their captivating energy is a stand out to every audience, and their honest and direct lyrics will soften even the hardest of hearts. Pony Gold is an acclaimed duo, also known for playing with a full band of Victoria's top players. 
 
Pony Gold is currently gearing up for the release of their debut EP that was self produced in Victoria BC, and mixed by Steve Dawson in Nashville. It is expected to be released in the spring of 2023.
