The City of Port Alberni recently declared a Climate Emergency. In an effort to help citizens understand what they can do and how they can reduce their costs, Alberni Climate Action is sponsoring a number of free events this fall and winter. Guy is the lead off, but they tuned for later sessions on reducing home energy use and costs for renters, owners and landlords; food production for tenants and garden plots and finally an electic bikeand vehicle trade show, with owners to give you the complete goods..

 

Our will focus on education and practical changes each household can make to reduce greenhouse gasses in our community. Often this will lead to decreased costs and better health and well being both at the municipal and household levels.
