Phil Dwyer "Food for Thought Trio" @ Char's Landing

Port Alberni, October 22, 7:30 p.m.

Phil Dwyer has been one of Canada's foremost and lauded musicians for over 3 decades. He is a Member of the Order of Canada, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Conservatory, and has appeared on a dozen Juno Award-winning albums, among many other notable accomplishments.

His "Food For Thought Trio", with bassist André Lachance, and drummer Bernie Arai, was originally formed as a tip of the hat to Phil's ongoing love affair with cooking and to raise awareness of the importance of local food production and to highlight food security issues. Of course, the focus is on the music though, and in that respect, this trio of BC musical chefs de cuisine will be serving up a hearty stew of tasty morsels from around the world, showcasing influences from Brazilian and African music, contemporary pop & R&B influences, favourite jazz artists, and originals.

Don't miss out on this rare appearance by one of the west coast's most dynamic groups.
