You likely are well aware of Pacific Mayfair Estates’ proposed development around these ponds. The Friends of Burde Street Beaver Ponds membership currently stands at 478. We are very concerned about that will happen around the ponds and to the ponds because of the construction, and because of the impact of more than 2000 people living so close to them. Before the official application is submitted, we would like to voice our concerns given what we know so far, and to give decision makers a chance to respond. We are inviting , the Hupacasath First nation, Pacific Mayfair Estates and the media as well. We really hope that you are able to attend. What happens around these ponds will affect the town for generations to come. This is an important decision for the future of port Alberni.
