Aqua Vitae, Non-Fiction History Book Release

Local historian, Glen A. Mofford, will be selling and signing copies of his new book, Aqua Vitae: A History of the Saloons and Hotel Bars of Victoria, 1851-1917. There is a connection to New Alberni mentioned in this book, but it's essentially about the true events that took place in the saloons of Victoria during the days of the Gold Rushes up to prohibition in October 1917.

Since we no longer have a retail bookstore in the Valley, Linda Bowers asked me to launch my book release in her wonderful store on lower Argyle Street, near the Harbour Quay. You are all welcome to this unique event.
