Experience the "Big One" on May 31st when the Shake Zone visits Port Alberni. This free community event will provide you and your family with the chance to ride out a simulated 8.0-magnitude earthquake.

Firefighters and other emergency personnel from across the Alberni Valley will also be in attendance with displays to provide residents with information to prepare for, respond to and recover from earthquakes and other disasters.

This event is hosted by the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District and City of Port Alberni and is in support of the upcoming Exercise Coastal Response event happening June 7-10 in Port Alberni.
