April Awards Bring May Flowers

The Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that final plans are well underway for the annual COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE AWARDS ceremony scheduled for Thursday, April 18th 6:00pm at the Best Western Barclay Hotel.
Our awards ceremony will feature 13 specific categories recognizing the best of the best that Port Alberni has to offer in areas such as ‘Small Business, Big Business, Customer Service, Environmental, Youth of the Year and many more! We’re especially pleased to announce that nearly 40 local residents will be on hand as nominees for one or more of these awards. Our task force was challenged in determining the final three nominees for each of these awards. The Chamber of Commerce, funded through the commitment of local business, is pleased to welcome a guest with each nominee as part of their exceptional ‘performance review.’
This time of recognition is an important step for each of our nominees and indeed for everyone within the city of Port Alberni as we collectively reach out to develop more business opportunities in the Alberni Valley. Our special guests on April 18th deserve a collective ‘Thanks for a job well done.’
It goes without saying that such an evening cannot be considered without the personal commitment of many people including the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Chamber Staff and each of our financial sponsors. We also applaud everyone who took the time to present us with some fantastic nominations over the past several weeks!
